Still Here...

Hello Blog World,

I am still here but my real life has taken over a bit the last couple of weeks and has left little time for crafting.

I resigned from my job....then rescinded my resignation as they offered me a deal too good to refuse, but the whole ordeal was very stressful. 

I did manage to get to the Craft Expo held here in Brisbane last week, check out the goodies I scored.

                                                 

 Watch this space for some more crafts, there will be a lot of sewing coming up!!! (am I spoilt much)

Oh I also did a scrapbook page using Sassy Lil's Sketches March 7th Reveal

This is what I came up with, using the beautiful photo of my daughter waiting to go to camp.

I used creative memories pattern patter, bella letters and kaiser craft wooden flourishes.  I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Now I need to go and make a thank you card and get stuck into this mysterious quilt I am making as it is definitely starting to get colder here and I am going to need it sooner than I think.

On A Roll!

Second post today!!!

I am on a roll 3 cards in 3 days!!!

I like this too, it's simple and the ink is a metallic ink so the camera didn't pick it up too well sorry...

Girly Card

Hello Blog World.

Another quick post, just sharing a card another card I have made.

This time for the Clean & Simple FTL130 Sketch

And the The Papers Players Spring has Sprung Challenge (which I missed the deadline for AGAIN!!) **note to self need to get more organised!! 

This is what I came up with

This is definitely one of my favourite cards from my most recent batch.  I love how girly and pretty it is.  You can't see it clearly but I have kindy glitz some of the flowers on the patterned paper which I haven't used for a while so that made me smile today.

Well I am off to do one more card and an actualy scrapbook page, I will share later.

Camp & A Birthday

Hello Blog World.

My daughter went on camp this week.  2 nights and 3 whole days in the bush "roughing it".  We picked her up this afternoon and for somebody that didn't want to go because it was going to be "BORING" she sure can't shut up about everything they did.

Getting ready to leave on her big adventure.

So while she was gone I got some alone time with hubby, caught up with my sister in law and brother in law after their bike trip to Tassie (Tasmania to all you non-aussies) and got a card made.

  

I used the Clean & Simple 129 Sketch

And I was planning on entering it into The Play Date Cafe's colour spash challenge.  But alas took my time and missed out!  Oh well still had fun doing it and it was my inspiration for these colours, and definitely check them both out again there are some gorgeous creations out there.

Anyway the weekend is here, hopefully I can get some more crafting done and can share more with whoever is out there willing to look.

Puppy School Graduation

Hello Blog World :)

I have a 5 month old staffy cross boxer named Millie at home and today she graduated advanced puppy school!! Yay!! If only she could behave so well at home!

I have also made a card, my very close friend in Melbourne sold her first painting.  So I will be posting this down on Monday as a surprise to let her know we love and support her and are oh so very proud.  It's been a proud few days around my house.

I have entered this into the following challenges

• 4 Crafty Chicks Stitching Challenge (even though I hate my stitching on this)
• The Shabby Tea Room   (check out the beautiful colours)

• Get Sketchy Card Challenge GS #77

Check them all out, there are some stunning cards on all three.

Well I am off to practice my crocheting and maybe do some more of this mysterious quilt. More on both of those later.

Lost Mojo??? and a drawing.

Hi Blog World.

After getting psyched for a big weekend of crafting I managed zip!!  I have a sore shoulder from my spasming neck so managed to play around a bit but got nothing achieved.  I did some more of my quilt which I have yet to show and this afternoon while trying to compile something for the next Play Date Cafe challenge which I am really struggling with I decided I have lost my card making mojo for the time being and decided to doodle.  This is what I came up with.

The scanner is playing up so I have taken a pretty poor photo, again looks much better in real life.  For those who are not from my part of the world it's a cockatoo.  A lovely bird, we used to have a few as pets when I was a kid.

Anyways that's all from me, maybe you will see some card challenge posts later this week.  Tomorrow is a scratch as we have parent info night at my daughters school.
